The larger the number of viable cells, the higher the activity of the mitochondrial dehydrogenases, and in turn the greater the amount of formazan dye formed.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe WST-1 assay protocol is very simple:\u003cbr\u003e\n- add the WST-1 assay reagent to the cell culture media and incubate for between 0.5 and 4 hrs\u003cbr\u003e\n- shake the plate to mix the contents\u003cbr\u003e\n- analyze the amount of formazan dye produced by measuring the absorbance at 440 nm\u003cbr\u003e\nWST-1 assay kit\u003cbr\u003e\nab65473\u003cbr\u003e\nis the full kit version of this reagent, which includes the Electrocoupling Reagent, in addition to the WST-1 Assay Reagent.\u003cbr\u003e\nWST-1 assays are non-radioactive, rapid and more sensitive than MTT, XTT, or MTS-based assays.
