Some KIRs with long cytoplasmic domains contain ITIMs and possess inhibitory functions and others with short cytoplasmic region lack ITIM and have activation functions. Fifteen polymorphic KIR genes have been reported in humans. CD158b1 and CD158j, also known as KIR2DL2 and KIR2DS2, respectively, are glycoproteins with two extracellular Ig domains. KIR2DL2 displays a long cytoplasmic tail with ITIM motifs and is 38 kD. KIR2DS2, with a short cytoplasmic tail containing an ITAM motif, is 33 kD in size. Both KIR2DL2 and KIR2DS2 are expressed primarily on a subset of NK cells and a subset of T cells. KIR2DL2 and KIR2DS2 have been reported to bind to certain HLA-C antigens on a target cell (HLA-C*01, HLA-C*03, HLA-C*07, for example).
100tests
Verified Reactivity: Human
Antibody Type: Monoclonal
Host Species: Mouse
Immunogen: Recombinant human KIR2DL2 protein
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and BSA (origin USA)
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with Brilliant Violet 421™ under optimal conditions.
Concentration: Lot-specific (to obtain lot-specific concentration and expiration, please enter the lot number in our Certificate of Analysis online tool).
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C, and protected from prolonged exposure to light. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µL per million cells in 100 µL staining volume or 5 µL per 100 µL of whole blood. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application. Brilliant Violet 421™ excites at 405 nm and emits at 421 nm. The standard bandpass filter 450/50 nm is recommended for detection. Brilliant Violet 421™ is a trademark of Sirigen Group Ltd. Learn more about Brilliant Violet™.
