biolegend-866302
Biolegend, 866302, Purified anti-Galectin-7 Antibody, 100μg

The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. Galectin-7 is specifically expressed in stratified epithelia and epidermis, but barely detected in epidermal tumors and absent from squamous carcinoma cell lines. Galectin-7 is a p53-induced protein and is abnormally expressed in variety of tumors such as melanoma, lung cancer and colon cancer. In UVB-induced sunburn keratinocytes, the expression of Galectin-7 is markedly increased due to the genotoxic stress-induced p53 activation. Both positive and negative regulatory roles of Galectin-7 have been reported in tumorigenesis.
100μg
Verified Reactivity: Human, Mouse
Antibody Type: Monoclonal
Host Species: Rat
Immunogen: Recombinant human Galectin-7
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.
Concentration: 0.5 mg/mL
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C.
Application: WB - Quality testedIHC-P - Verified
Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by western blotting.
