In mouse embryonic stem cells (ESCs), the expression level of RSL24D1 is high and significantly decreases during cell differentiation. The role of RSL24D1 in ribosome biogenesis includes facilitating proper protein docking in nucleolar and cytoplasmic precursor particles.
