NgR is expressed predominantly by neurons in the brain. It is the receptor of Nogo-A (Nogo-66), oligodendrocyte myelin protein (OMgp) and myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG), and mediates inhibition of axonal regeneration (PMID: 12694398).
