It plays a crucial role in maintaining mitochondrial iron homeostasis and the maturation of cellular iron-sulfur cluster proteins. ABCB8 is essential for normal cardiac function by promoting the export of iron from mitochondria. Additionally, ABCB8 forms a complex with the mitochondrial KATP channel, protecting cells from oxidative stress damage. The loss of function or abnormal expression of ABCB8 is associated with various diseases, including cardiomyopathy and iron metabolism disorders.\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\nTested Reactivity: human, mouse, rat\nHost \/ Isotype: Rabbit \/ IgG\nClass: Polyclonal\nType: Antibody\nImmunogen: CatNo: Ag25935 Product name: Recombinant human ABCB8 protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 403-596 aa of BC141814 Sequence: TVQRSMANLSVLFGQVVRGLSAGARVFEYMALNPCIPLSGGCCVPKEQLRGSVTFQNVCFSYPCRPGFEVLKDFTLTLPPGKIVALVGQSGGGKTTVASLLERFYDPTAGVVMLDGRDLRTLDPSWLRGQVVGFISQEPVLFGTTIMENIRFGKLEASDEEVYTAAREANAHEFITSFPEGYNTVVGERGTTLS Predict reactive species\nFull Name: ATP-binding cassette, sub-family B (MDR\/TAP), member 8\nCalculated Molecular Weight: 735 aa, 80 kDa\nObserved Molecular Weight: 60-65 kDa\nGenBank Accession Number: BC141814\nGene Symbol: ABCB8\nGene ID (NCBI): 11194\nConjugate: Unconjugated\nForm: Liquid\nPurification Method: Antigen affinity purification\nUNIPROT ID: Q9NUT2\nStorage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.\nStorage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
