It is a component of the microprocessor complex that is required to process primary miRNA transcripts (pri-miRNAs) to release precursor miRNA (pre-miRNA) in the nucleus. Within the microprocessor complex, RNASEN/DROSHA cleaves the 3' and 5' strands of a stem-loop in pri-miRNAs (processing center 11 bp from the dsRNA-ssRNA junction) to release hairpin-shaped pre-miRNAs that are subsequently cut by the cytoplasmic DICER to generate mature miRNAs. RNASEN is involved also in pre-rRNA processing. Cleaves double-strand RNA and does not cleave single-strand RNA. And it is involved in the formation of GW bodies. The antibody is specific to DROSHA.
Specification
Tested Reactivity: human
Cited Reactivity: human
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Polyclonal
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Ag27533 Product name: Recombinant human DROSHA protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 353-550 aa of NM_001100412 Sequence: MHRSPSREKKRARWEEEKDRWSDNQSSGKDKNYTSIKEKEPEETMPDKNEEEEEELLKPVWIRCTHSENYYSSDPMDQVGDSTVVGTSRLRDLYDKFEEELGSRQEKAKAARPPWEPPKTKLDEDLESSSESECESDEDSTCSSSSDSEVFDVIAEIKRKKAHPDRLHDELWYNDPGQMNDGPLCKCSAKARRTGIRHS Predict reactive species
Full Name: ribonuclease type III, nuclear
Calculated Molecular Weight: 159 aa
Observed Molecular Weight: 150 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: NM_001100412
Gene Symbol: DROSHA
Gene ID (NCBI): 29102
RRID: AB_2918137
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Antigen affinity purification
UNIPROT ID: Q9NRR4
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
