Integrin alpha 9 contains a large N-terminal extracellular domain with 7 conserved repeats of putative metal-binding domains, a transmembrane segment, and a short C-terminal cytoplasmic tail (PMID: 8245132). Integrin alpha 9 interacts with integrin beta 1 generating α9β1 heterodimer, which is expressed in many cell types including epithelial cells, neutrophils, hepatocytes, muscle and endothelial cells (PMID: 21975548). It binds to a diversity of ligands in the extracellular matrix, like the a-disintegrin and metalloprotease (ADAM) family, THBS1, EMILIN1, VEGF, tenascin-C, osteopontin, fibronectin, and VCAM1 (PMID: 21975548; 33790909). Integrin α9β1 has been implicated in diverse biological functions including angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, lymphatic valve morphogenesis, granulopoiesis and tumorigenesis (PMID: 20179422).
Specification
Tested Reactivity: Human, Mouse
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Polyclonal
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Ag28815 Product name: Recombinant human Integrin alpha-9 protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 462-613 aa of BC030198 Sequence: VITVDVSIFLPGSINITAPQCHDGQQPVNCLNVTTCFSFHGKHVPEEIGLNYVLMADVAKKEKGQMPRVYFVLLGETMGQVTEKLQLTYMEETCRHYVAHVKRRVQDVISPIVFEAAYSLSEHVTGEEERELPPLTPVLRWKKGQKIAQKNQ Predict reactive species
Full Name: integrin, alpha 9
Calculated Molecular Weight: 114 kDa
Observed Molecular Weight: 135 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: BC030198
Gene Symbol: Integrin alpha 9
Gene ID (NCBI): 3680
RRID: AB_3669655
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Antigen affinity purification
UNIPROT ID: Q13797
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
