In humans, there are eight members of cullins, including CUL1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 7, and CUL9 with an evolutionarily conserved cullin homology domain at the C-terminus, responsible for their interaction with the RING protein, assembling 8 cullin-based RING dependent E3 ubiquitin ligases to target thousands of substrates for ubiquitination and degradation (PMID: 32334051). Cullin 5 is the key scaffolding protein of Cullin RING ligase-5 (CRL-5). Cullin 5 plays positive roles in regulating cell growth, proliferation and physiological and other processes in the human body (PMID: 32194910). Cullin 5 has been detected in the form of double bands in the results of Western blot, which might be caused by neddylation (PMID: 36449095; 31294695).
Specification
Tested Reactivity: human, mouse
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Recombinant
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Ag34620 Product name: Recombinant human CUL5 protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 1-300 aa of BC063306 Sequence: MATSNLLKNKGSLQFEDKWDFMRPIVLKLLRQESVTKQQWFDLFSDVHAVCLWDDKGPAKIHQALKEDILEFIKQAQARVLSHQDDTALLKAYIVEWRKFFTQCDILPKPFCQLEITLMGKQGSNKKSNVEDSIVRKLMLDTWNESIFSNIKNRLQDSAMKLVHAERLGEAFDSQLVIGVRESYVNLCSNPEDKLQIYRDNFEKAYLDSTERFYRTQAPSYLQQNGVQNYMKYADAKLKEEEKRALRYLETRRECNSVEALMECCVNALVTSFKETILAECQGMIKRNETEKLHLMFSLM Predict reactive species
Full Name: cullin 5
Calculated Molecular Weight: 91 kDa
Observed Molecular Weight: 80 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: BC063306
Gene Symbol: Cullin 5
Gene ID (NCBI): 8065
RRID: AB_3671455
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Protein A purfication
UNIPROT ID: Q93034
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
