Upon excitation at 320 or 340 nm, energy can be transferred from the donor Europium chelate to the acceptor fluorophore if sufficiently close for FRET (~10 nm). This results in the emission of light at 665 nm.\u003cbr\u003e\nBcl-2 (B-cell lymphoma 2) is an oncogenic protein that inhibits apoptosis. It is a protein with a MW of 24-26 kDa, located within the mitochondrial membrane, endoplasmic reticulum and nuclear envelope.
