This product is also available for direct purchase within a StarBright Basic Panel , which combines a minimal set of pre-selected compatible reagents. CD103 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as αE integrin, integrin αIEL chain, and human mucosal lymphocyte antigen 1. It belongs to the integrin family and is primarily found on intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL). CD103 is also expressed on a subpopulation of lamina propria T cells, epithelial dendritic cells, lamina propria-derived dendritic cells, and a small subset of peripheral lymphocytes. Treg cells express high level of CD103. Hairy cell leukemia has also been shown to express CD103. The expression of CD103 on lymphocytes can be induced upon activation and TGF-β stimulation. In association with integrin β7, CD103 is expressed as an αE/β7 heterodimer. Mature CD103 protein can be cleaved into 2 chains, a 150 kD (C-terminal) chain and a 25 kD (N-terminal) chain, which remain linked by disulfide bonds. CD103 binds to E-cadherin and mediates homing of lymphocytes to the intestinal epithelium.
25tests
Verified Reactivity: Human
Reported Reactivity: Cynomolgus
Antibody Type: Monoclonal
Host Species: Mouse
Immunogen: HTLV-1 induced human T cell line MAPS16
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered saline, containing 0.09% sodium azide, 0.05% Tween 20, 0.1% PEG 3350, 0.1% Pluronic F68, and 1% BSA (origin USA)
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and conjugated with StarBright UltraViolet 795 under optimal conditions.
Concentration: Lot-specific (to obtain lot-specific concentration and expiration, please enter the lot number in our Certificate of Analysis online tool.) Fluorescence Minus One (FMO) controls should be used to define gating boundaries.
Q: What amount of a StarBright conjugate should I use?
A: Antibody conjugates should be titrated for optimal performance in each application. To directly compare performance with a traditional or polymer-conjugated antibody, we recommend using the same volume of each product for analysis. Due to differences in the quantification of product mass, StarBright Dyes are prepared in equivalent volumes.
Q: Why shouldn’t I compare the mass (μg) of a StarBright conjugate to a traditional or polymer conjugate?
A: For StarBright conjugates, the reported mass refers to the mass of the dye component. For traditional conjugates, the reported mass refers to the mass of the antibody component. This is because traditional conjugates have multiple dye molecules attached to one antibody, while StarBright conjugates have multiple antibodies attached to a single StarBright Dye.
