Defects in MRPS22 are the cause of combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency type 5 (COXPD5). MRPS22 is a 360-amino-acid protein that has been found in a limited number of species, having no ortholog in fungi or prokaryotes. The exact location of MRPS22 in the three dimensional structure of the ribosome and its exact function are currently unknown. Recently, a MRPS22 defect was shown to strongly hamper assembly of the small ribosomal subunit, whereas assembly of the large subunit and part of the small subunit were only mildly affected.(PMID:21189481)\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\nTested Reactivity: human, mouse, rat\nCited Reactivity: human, mouse\nHost \/ Isotype: Rabbit \/ IgG\nClass: Polyclonal\nType: Antibody\nImmunogen: CatNo: Ag1421 Product name: Recombinant human MRPS22 protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 1-360 aa of BC009296 Sequence: MAPLGTTVLLWSLLRSSPGVERVCFRARIQPWHGGLLQPLPCSFEMGLPRRRFSSEAAESGSPETKKPTFMDEEVQSILTKMTGLNLQKTFKPAIQELKPPTYKLMTQAQLEEATRQAVEAAKVRLKMPPVLEERVPINDVLAEDKILEGTETTKYVFTDISYSIPHRERFIVVREPSGTLRKASWEERDRMIQVYFPKEGRKILTPIIFKEENLRTMYSQDRHVDVLNLCFAQFEPDSTEYIKVHHKTYEDIDKRGKYDLLRSTRYFGGMVWYFVNNKKIDGLLIDQIQRDLIDDATNLVQLYHVLHPDGQSAQGAKDQAAEGINLIKVFAKTEAQKGAYIELTLQTYQEALSRHSAAS Predict reactive species\nFull Name: mitochondrial ribosomal protein S22\nCalculated Molecular Weight: 41 kDa\nObserved Molecular Weight: 38 kDa\nGenBank Accession Number: BC009296\nGene Symbol: MRPS22\nGene ID (NCBI): 56945\nRRID: AB_2146488\nConjugate: Unconjugated\nForm: Liquid\nPurification Method: Antigen affinity purification\nUNIPROT ID: P82650\nStorage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.\nStorage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
