It is involved in regulation of the actin cytoskeleton. Preferentially expressed in hematopoetic tissues, PSTPIP1 binds to the cytoplasmic tail of CD2, negatively affecting CD2-triggered T cell activation (PMID: 16670297). It has also been shown to interact with ABL1, PTPN18, WAS, CD2AP, PTPN12 and MEFV/pyrin. Mutations in the gene of PSTPIP1 cause PAPA syndrome (Pyogenic sterile Arthritis, Pyoderma gangrenosum, and Acne), an autoinflammatory disease (PMID:11971877; 14595024).
Specification
Tested Reactivity: human, mouse, rat
Cited Reactivity: human, mouse
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Polyclonal
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Ag2551 Product name: Recombinant human PSTPIP1 protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 1-349 aa of BC008602 Sequence: MMPQLQFKDAFWCRDFTAHTGYEVLLQRLLDGRKMCKDMEELLRQRAQAEERYGKELVQIARKAGGQTEINSLRASFDSLKQQMENVGSSHIQLALTLREELRSLEEFRERQKEQRKKYEAVMDRVQKSKLSLYKKAMESKKTYEQKCRDADDAEQAFERISANGHQKQVEKSQNKARQCKDSATEAERVYRQSIAQLEKVRAEWEQEHRTTCEAFQLQEFDRLTILRNALWVHSNQLSMQCVKDDELYEEVRLTLEGCSIDADIDSFIQAKSTGTEPPAPVPYQNYYDREVTPLTSSPGIQPSCGMIKRFSGLLHGSPKTTSLAASAASTETLTPTPERNEGVYTAIA Predict reactive species
Full Name: proline-serine-threonine phosphatase interacting protein 1
Calculated Molecular Weight: 416 aa, 48 kDa
Observed Molecular Weight: 45-48 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: BC008602
Gene Symbol: PSTPIP1
Gene ID (NCBI): 9051
RRID: AB_10694665
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Antigen affinity purification
UNIPROT ID: O43586
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
