Cadherin-11 (CDH11), also known osteoblast cadherin (OB-cadherin) or OSF-4, was identified initially in a mouse osteoblastic cell line and human osteosarcoma (PMID: 8163513). Cadherin-11 is a single pass transmembrane protein consisting of an extracellular domain which contains five repeat sequences (EC1-EC5), a transmembrane segment and a cytoplasmic domain which links catenins to the actin and microtubule cytoskeleton (PMID: 8163513; 33442417).
