Rabin8 plays important roles in various cellular processes, including ciliogenesis.The GEF activity of Rabin8 towards Rab8 is essential for ciliogenesis and cyst apical membrane transport,but not for exocytosis of discoidal\/fusiform-shaped vesicles.
