Siglec-5 is a type-I transmembrane protein consisting of an N-terminal extracellular region that contains four extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular domain with two tyrosine-based motifs (PMID: 9731071). It is expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, dendritic cells, and subsets of tissue macrophages (PMID: 15769739).
