It is associated with the matrix of the acrosomal vesicle in developing spermatids and the acrosomal matrix and membranes of ejaculated sperm (PMID: 8288254). Human ACRV1 protein has 11 isoforms, and molecular weight ranges from 9 to 28 kDa.
