H2A 'Lys-119' ubiquitination gives a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional repression and participates in X chromosome inactivation of female mammals. It's an essential component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and modification of histones, rendering chromatin heritably changed in its expressibility. Compared to RNF2\/RING2, it does not have the main E3 ubiquitin ligase activity on histone H2A, and it may rather act as a modulator of RNF2\/RING2 activity.\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\nTested Reactivity: human, mouse, rat\nHost \/ Isotype: Rabbit \/ IgG\nClass: Polyclonal\nType: Antibody\nImmunogen: CatNo: Ag6763 Product name: Recombinant human RING1 protein Source: e coli. -derived, PET28a Tag: 6*His Domain: 207-406 aa of BC002922 Sequence: GAGGSSVGTGGGGTGGVGGGAGSEDSGDRGGTLGGGTLGPPSPPGAPSPPEPGGEIELVFRPHPLLVEKGEYCQTRYVKTTGNATVDHLSKYLALRIALERRQQQEAGEPGGPGGGASDTGGPDGCGGEGGGAGGGDGPEEPALPSLEGVSEKQYTIYIAPGGGAFTTLNGSLTLELVNEKFWKVSRPLELCYAPTKDPK Predict reactive species\nFull Name: ring finger protein 1\nCalculated Molecular Weight: 42 kDa\nObserved Molecular Weight: 50 kDa\nGenBank Accession Number: BC002922\nGene Symbol: RING1\nGene ID (NCBI): 6015\nRRID: AB_2177964\nConjugate: Unconjugated\nForm: Liquid\nPurification Method: Antigen affinity purification\nUNIPROT ID: Q06587\nStorage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.\nStorage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
