The encoded protein is found in the Golgi body and interacts with RPGRIP1. This protein localizes to the outer segment of rod photoreceptors and is essential for their viability. Mutations in this gene have been associated with X-linked retinitis pigmentosa (XLRP). Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms of this gene have been reported, but the full-length natures of only some have been determined. This antibody can recognize all the isoforms of RPGR.
Specification
Tested Reactivity: human, mouse
Cited Reactivity: human, mouse
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Polyclonal
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Ag10405 Product name: Recombinant human RPGR protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 1-359 aa of BC031624 Sequence: MREPEELMPDSGAVFTFGKSKFAENNPGKFWFKNDVPVHLSCGDEHSAVVTGNNKLYMFGSNNWGQLGLGSKSAISKPTCVKALKPEKVKLAACGRNHTLVSTEGGNVYATGGNNEGQLGLGDTEERNTFHVISFFTSEHKIKQLSAGSNTSAALTEDGRLFMWGDNSEGQIGLKNVSNVCVPQQVTIGKPVSWISCGYYHSAFVTTDGELYVFGEPENGKLGLPNQLLGNHRTPQLVSEIPEKVIQVACGGEHTVVLTENAVYTFGLGQFGQLGLGTFLFETSEPKVIENIRDQTISYISCGENHTALITDIGLMYTFGDGRHGKLGLGLENFTNHFIPTLCSNFLRFIVKLVACGGC Predict reactive species
Full Name: retinitis pigmentosa GTPase regulator
Calculated Molecular Weight: 113 kDa
Observed Molecular Weight: 100-105 kDa, 70 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: BC031624
Gene Symbol: RPGR
Gene ID (NCBI): 6103
RRID: AB_2181130
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Antigen affinity purification
UNIPROT ID: Q92834
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
