Like RAPL and RIAM, Radil interacts preferentially with active GTP-bound Rap1, and overexpression of Radil enhances integrin-mediated adhesion. In addition, Radil knockdown inhibits cell-substrate adhesion in HT1080, AD293, and NMuMG cells and results in migration defects in SW1353 and zebrafish neural crest cells (PMID: 17704304).
