CEACAM7 contains three domains: an N-terminal IgV domain, a single IgC2 domain, and a cell-surface GPI anchor domain. CEACAM7 achieves cell adhesion through dimerization of the N-terminal IgV domain. CEACAM7 is expressed on highly differentiated epithelial cells of the colon and rectum and on the epithelial cells within the ducts of the pancreas (PMID: 26323304). CEACAM7 has 2 isoforms with the molecular mass of 19 and 29 kDa.
