The protein contains three distinct domains: the N-terminus has two domains, LER and KRAB, and the C-terminus has seven C2H2 zinc finger domains. ZNF394 is predicted to have DNA-binding transcription factor activity and is involved in the transcriptional regulation of RNA polymerase II.
