Mitochondrial transcription termination factor 4 (MTERF4, also known as MTERFD2) regulates mitochondrial ribosome biogenesis and translation (PMID: 21531335). It can form a stoichiometric complex with the ribosomal RNA methyl-transferase NSUN4 and is necessary for the recruitment of this factor to the large ribosomal subunit.
