The Fanconi anemia (FA) protein is composed of 15 FA complementary groups of multifunctional proteins. As a molecular adaptor in the FA core complex, FANCF is primarily involved in the monoubiquitination of the downstream protein (FANCD2) in the FA\/breast cancer susceptibility gene repair pathway.
