SP7 regulates osteoblast differentiation and bone formation through osteoblast target genes by recognizing AT-rich region. In osteocytes, SP7 regulates osteocyte maturation and intracortical remodeling through osteocyte target genes by recognizing TGA(G\/T) TCA motif.
