FAQs
1. Can I use the Poly-D-Lysine matrix with other coatings?
Yes. iPSC-derived neurons have been successfully grown on Poly-D-Lysine followed by an additional coating step. A common approach is to apply mouse or human laminin as a secondary coating on top of the Poly-D-Lysine layer.
2. Can natural mouse laminin be thawed, aliquoted, and refrozen?
Yes. It’s recommended to divide the product into single-use (or working-size) aliquots after thawing and store them at -68°C to -85°C to minimize repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
3. What is the protein concentration per vial for natural mouse laminin?
Each vial contains 1 mg of laminin. The protein concentration for a given lot may fall within 0.5–2.0 mg/mL, so the fill volume can vary from vial to vial depending on the measured concentration for that lot. Regardless of volume, the amount per vial is adjusted to total 1 mg of laminin.
