5% Normal Goat Serum is a ready-to-use non-specific blocker for use in immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), and immunofluorescence (IF) experiments, usually when a goat secondary antibody is used. Incubating cells/tissue with diluted serum from the same species as the host of the secondary antibody typically reduces non-specific binding. Simply cover the tissue section or cells with a few drops of ReadyProbes 2.
5% Normal Goat Serum and incubate for 30–60 minutes at room temperature. Ready Probes 2.
5% Normal Goat Serum can also be used to dilute primary and secondary antibodies.
