Product Description

The 20 cc Oasis MCX cartridges contain the Oasis MCX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting basic compounds with cation-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The 60 µm particle size is recommended when working with viscous samples. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

Additional Information
Oasis MCX 20 cc Vac Cartridge, 1 g Sorbent per Cartridge, 60 µm, 20/pk The Oasis MCX cartridges hold 20 cc of Oasis MCX, a unique, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been tuned for better selectivity and sensitivity when extracting basic chemicals containing cation-exchange groups. Because the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it retains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even when the sorbent runs dry, eliminating the need for extra precautions to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the key steps prior to sample loading. When working with viscous substances, the particle size of 60 µm is recommended. These cartridges with syringe barrels are intended for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE devices. Liquid chromatography necessitates successful sample preparation, which entails obtaining the sample component of interest in the solution, free of interfering matrix components, and at a concentration adequate for detection or measurement. Waters developed Oasis HLB, a polymeric reversed-phase sorbent that allows for higher recovery and repeatability, as well as stronger retention and selectivity, while also developing the most advanced preparation and extraction techniques. Since then, Oasis has expanded into a larger family of sorbents and lab equipment, including the Oasis MCX sorbent featured in this 20 cc Vac Cartridge. You might also be interested in the Waters Carbamate Analysis Kit , which comprises a Waters Carbamate column, Oasis HLB cartridges, vials, and Reference Standards. These products, designed for use with EPA Method 531.2, simplify your analysis while boosting your confidence in the results. The carbamate column is designed and tested for high sensitivity and excellent resolution. This column is specified as the primary column for EPA Method 531.2; Oasis HLB Cartridges - for sample cleanup and concentration to ensure maximum sensitivity; Vials - certified to be clean and free of background contamination in order to provide optimized analysis; Carbamate Reference Standards - for both drinking water and wastewater, these reference materials increase your level of confidence in your results.

FAQ
How Does Chromatography Sensitivity Work? Sensitivity is defined as the signal output per unit concentration or mass of a material in the mobile phase entering the detector, such as the slope of a linear calibration curve. Sensitivity is sometimes described as the ratio of peak height to the analyte concentration in the peak for concentration-sensitive detectors. It is the peak height to unit mass ratio in mass-flow sensitive detectors. Sensitivity must be exclusively dependent on the chemical measuring process and not on scale factors in order to be considered a unique performance attribute.
