The enzyme is provided as a lyophilized bead in a skirted tube with LC-MS compatible additives to improve stability and maintain high activity upon reconstitution. RapiZyme MC1's specificity is primarily targeted at 5' Uridine cleavage resulting in longer RNA digestion products for improved sequence coverage by generating unique masses. With a robust and automation friendly procedure, RapiZyme RNases make oligomapping as easy to implement as peptide mapping is for proteins.
