Labelling with the pan-neuronal marker MAP2 and the GABA-specific marker highlights the neuronal purity of these cells. Cortical GABAergic Neurons are adherent and exhibit substantial neurite outgrowth within the first week in culture, showing the characteristic cell shape and extension of processes classic cortical GABAergic neurons.
