biolegend-648880
Biolegend, 648880, Purified anti-MOG Antibody, 25μg

Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. This heavily N-glycosylated protein features a single extracellular immunoglobulin-like domain, a transmembrane region, and a short intracellular tail. MOG is expressed on the surface of oligodendrocytes in the outermost layer of myelin and is highly conserved across species. MOG plays a critical role in the completion and maintenance of the myelin sheath, possibly acting as a cell adhesion molecule that contributes to myelin integrity and immune regulation. MOG is notably implicated in a group of autoimmune demyelinating disorders collectively known as MOG antibody-associated disease (MOGAD). In these conditions, the immune system produces antibodies targeting MOG, leading to inflammation and damage in the optic nerves, spinal cord, and brain.
25μg
Verified Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat
Antibody Type: Monoclonal
Host Species: Mouse
Immunogen: Recombinant human MOG protein
Formulation: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide
Preparation: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.
Concentration: 0.5 mg/mL
Storage & Handling: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted between 2°C and 8°C.
Application: IHC-P - Quality tested ICC, WB, ICFC - Verified
Recommended Usage: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded immunohistochemical staining. For immunohistochemistry, a concentration range of 1.0 - 10.0 µg/mL is suggested. For immunocytochemistry, a concentration range of 1.25 - 10.0 μg/mL is recommended. For western blotting, the suggested use of this reagent is 0.25 - 1.0 µg/mL. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 0.125 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Additional Product Notes: For use of this antibody in intracellular flow cytometry (ICFC), we recommend fixation and permeabilization using Cyto-Fast™ Fix-Perm Buffer set (Cat. No. 426803). Similar results were also obtained using True-Nuclear™ Transcription Factor Buffer set (Cat. No. 424401) or True-Phos™ Perm Buffer (Cat. No. 425401). For use of this antibody in immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues (IHC-P), we recommend antigen retrieval using either Citrate Buffer (Cat. No. 420902), or Tris-EDTA pH 9.0 Antigen Retrieval Buffer (Cat. No. 422704).
RRID: AB_3720623 (BioLegend Cat. No. 648880) AB_3720623 (BioLegend Cat.
