CCR2 is the receptor for several chemokines including MCP-1, MCP-3, and MCP-4 (2-5). CCR2 transduces signals through increases in intracellular calcium levels. It has two alternative isoforms, CCR2A and CCR2B, differing in their carboxy-terminal tails with CCR2B trafficking more efficiently to the membrane (2,6). CCR2 was originally identified in the THP-1 monocyte cell line, and its expression is decreased following differentiation into macrophages (7). Knockout studies demonstrate that CCR2 is a major regulator of macrophage trafficking (8-10). In addition, research studies have shown that CCR2 functions as an alternative coreceptor with CD4 for infection of some strains of HIV (11,12).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nC-C chemokine receptor type 2; C-C CKR-2; C-C motif chemokine receptor 2; CC-CKR-2; CCR-2; CCR2; CCR2A; CCR2B; CD192; chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 2; CKR2; CKR2A; CKR2B; CMKBR2; FLJ78302; MCP-1 receptor; MCP-1-R; MGC103828; MGC111760; MGC168006; Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 receptor; monocyte chemotactic protein 1 receptor\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 42\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46797567623337,"sku":"12199S","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-12199s","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
