The ISWI chromatin remodeling complexes were first identified in and have been shown to remodel and alter nucleosome spacing (2). SMARCA1 is the catalytic subunit of the nucleosome remodeling factor (NURF) and CECR2-containing remodeling factor (CERF) complexes (3-5). The NURF complex plays an important role in neuronal physiology by promoting neurite outgrowth and regulation of homeotic genes that are involved in neuronal development in the mid-hindbrain (3). NURF is also thought to be involved in the maturation of T cells from thymocytes by regulating chromatin structure and expression of genes important for T cell development (6). The largest subunit of the NURF complex, BPTF, is required for proper development of mesoderm, endoderm, and ectoderm tissue lineages, suggesting a role for SMARCA1 in the development of the germ layers in mouse embryo (7). Disruption of the CERF complex by deletion of CECR2, an interacting partner of SMARCA1, is associated with the neural tube defect exencephaly, linking the CERF complex with regulation of neurulation (4).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nATP-dependent helicase SMARCA1; DKFZp686D1623; FLJ41547; global transcription activator homologous sequence; hSNF2L; ISWI; Nucleosome-remodeling factor subunit SNF2L; NURF140; Probable global transcription activator SNF2L1; SMARCA1; SMCA1; SNF2-like 1; SNF2L; SNF2L1; SNF2LB; SNF2LT; sucrose nonfermenting 2-like protein 1; SWI; SWI\/SNF related, matrix associated, actin dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily a, member 1; SWI\/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin a1; SWI\/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily A member 1; SWI2\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H Mk\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 130\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46797573095593,"sku":"12483S","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-12483s","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
