B7-H4 protein contains two extracellular Ig-like V-type domains, a transmembrane domain, and a short, two amino acid intracellular domain (3). The B7-H4 protein is shown to inhibit T cell activation, proliferation, and cytokine production (1,4,5). Although B7-H4 mRNA is widely expressed, B7-H4 protein is restricted to antigen-presenting cells and B cells (1). The B7-H4 protein is also found in several tumor types, including ovarian cancer and breast cancer (6). Research studies indicate that B7-H4 protein is present on the surface of ovarian tumor cells, and that targeted inhibition of B7-H4 using recombinant antibodies restores T cell activation pathways. These studies suggest some potential therapeutic value in blocking B7-H4 function and restoring T cell function in cancer patients (7,8).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nB7 family member, H4; B7 homolog 4; B7 superfamily member 1; B7-H4; B7h.5; B7H4; B7S1; B7X; FLJ22418; Immune costimulatory protein B7-H4; PRO1291; Protein B7S1; RP11-229A19.4; T cell costimulatory molecule B7x; T-cell costimulatory molecule B7x; V-set domain containing T cell activation inhibitor 1; V-set domain-containing T-cell activation inhibitor 1; VCTN1; VTCN1\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 75\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46797611597993,"sku":"14572T","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-14572t","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
