RUNX3 is also involved in caspase-3-dependent apoptosis (5). Protein complexes containing RUNX3 and various transcription factors, such as Smads or β-catenin\/TCF4, have tumor suppressor activity and regulate downstream target gene transcription (6,7). While typically localized to the nucleus, RUNX3 can be tyrosine phosphorylated and located in the cytoplasm of many cancer cells. This mislocalization of RUNX3 abolishes its tumor suppressor function and contributes to tumorigenesis (8). Research studies indicate that gene silencing or protein mislocalization inactivates RUNX3 in more than 80% of gastric cancers and other cancer types (1,9,10).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nAcute myeloid leukemia 2 protein; acute myeloid leukemia gene 2; AML2; CBF-alpha-3; CBFA3; Core-binding factor subunit alpha-3; core-binding factor, runt domain, alpha subunit 3; FLJ34510; MGC16070; Oncogene AML-2; PEA2 alpha C; PEA2-alpha C; PEBP2 alpha C; PEBP2-alpha C; PEBP2A3; PEBP2aC; Polyomavirus enhancer-binding protein 2 alpha C subunit; runt related transcription factor 3; Runt-related transcription factor 3; RUNX family transcription factor 3; RUNX3; SL3-3 enhancer factor 1 alpha C subunit; SL3\/AKV core-binding factor alpha C subunit; transcription factor AML2\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 43-48\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46797636010153,"sku":"18113S","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-18113s","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
