MMD\/PAQR11 has seven transmembrane domains and is localized to the Golgi apparatus (2). It can form a complex with Ras and activate ERK signaling (2). Knockdown of MMD\/PAQR11 inhibited monocyte differentiation and alleviated progression of collagen-induced rheumatoid arthritis (3). Expression of MMD\/PAQR11 has been associated with epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and metastasis (4).
