Antibodies are purified by Protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
Background
Tug (Tether containing UBX domain for GLUT4), also known as ASPL, ASPSCR1, RCC17, UBXD9, UBXN9, was first identified as a chromosomal translocation partner for TFE3 in patients with Alveolar soft part sarcoma (1) and contains an UBX-like domain in its C-terminal region. Tug is found to tether GLUT4 in intracellular vesicles and to release GLUT4 for cell surface translocation upon insulin stimulation (2). Stable Tug depletion or expression of a dominant negative form stimulates GLUT4 redistribution (3).
Alternate Names
Alveolar soft part sarcoma chromosomal region candidate gene 1 protein; alveolar soft part sarcoma chromosome region, candidate 1; Alveolar soft part sarcoma locus; ASPC1; ASPCR1; ASPL; ASPS; ASPSCR1; ASPSCR1 tether for SLC2A4, UBX domain containing; ASPSCR1, UBX domain containing tether for SLC2A4; FLJ45380; RCC17; renal cell carcinoma gene on chromosome 17; renal cell carcinoma, papillary, 17; Renal papillary cell carcinoma protein 17; Tether containing UBX domain for GLUT4; TUG; UBX domain protein 9; UBX domain-containing protein 9; UBXD9; UBXN9

Specification

REACTIVITY: H M R Mk
SENSITIVITY: Endogenous
MW (kDa): 70-75
SOURCE: Rabbit
