Binding of GCSAM to Syk positively regulates BCR signaling by enhancing Syk kinase activity (2-5). In addition to regulating antigen-induced BCR signaling in germinal center B cells, research studies have demonstrated that GCSAM restricts motility of B cells within the germinal center microenvironment through activation of RhoA signaling (6).
