In response to conditions that promote muscle atrophy, elevated skeletal muscle MuRF1 facilitates the ubiquitination and degradation of thick filament components (2). Cardiac muscle MuRF1 promotes cardiomyocyte troponin I degradation and inhibits PKCε-mediated cardiac hypertrophy (3,4). MuRF1 also regulates degradation of the large sarcomeric protein titin, the transcriptional regulator GMEB1, the SUMO conjugating enzyme UBC9, and the ubiquitin peptidase USP13 (5). Binding of FoxO1 and the glucocorticoid receptor to adjacent sites within the MuRF1 promoter region activates transcription of this E3 ubiquitin ligase (6).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nE3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM63; FLJ32380; IRF; Iris RING finger protein; MuRF-1; MURF1; MURF2; muscle specific ring finger protein 2; Muscle-specific RING finger protein 1; RING finger protein 28; RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase TRIM63; RNF28; SMRZ; Striated muscle RING zinc finger protein; TRI63; TRIM63; tripartite motif containing 63; tripartite motif containing 63, E3 ubiquitin protein ligase; tripartite motif-containing 63; Tripartite motif-containing protein 63\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 41\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46800989552809,"sku":"33973S","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-33973s","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
