It is a key enzyme in folate metabolism, playing an important role in regulation of cellular metabolism including proliferation (1,2). Downregulation of ALDH1L1 has been seen in tumors, leading to decreased suppression of cancer cell proliferation (2,3). ALDH1L1 has also been shown to be a useful astrocyte marker throughout the gray and white matter of the brain, labeling both the cell body and processes of astrocytes. ALDH1L1 does not label oligodendrocytes or neurons (4). It has been shown that expression of ALDH1L1 in astrocytes is stably expressed through normal tissue and during astrogliosis (5).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\n10-formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase; 10-fTHF; 10-FTHFDH; AL1L1; aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member L1; aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family, member L1; aldehyde dehydrogenase 1L1; Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member L1; ALDH1L1; Cytosolic 10-formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase; DKFZp781N0997; FDH; formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase; FTHFD; MER57B-ALDH1L1\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H M R\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 98\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46799418654889,"sku":"34391T","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-34391t","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
