This antibody conjugate detects an epitope within the extracellular domain.
Species Reactivity: Human
Source / Purification
This monoclonal antibody was purified from tissue culture supernatant via affinity chromatography. The purified antibody was conjugated under optimal conditions, with unreacted dye removed from the preparation.
Background
CD11c (integrin αX, ITGAX) is a transmembrane glycoprotein that forms an α/β heterodimer with CD18 (integrin β2), which interacts with a variety of extracellular matrix molecules and cell surface proteins (1). CD11c is primarily used as a dendritic cell marker. Dendritic cells can be classified into two major types: CD11c+ conventional dendritic cells that specialize in antigen presentation, and CD11c- plasmacytoid dendritic cells that specialize in type I interferon production (2, 3). CD11c expression has also been observed on activated NK cells, subsets of B cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and some B cell malignancies including hairy cell leukemia (4-7). The 3.9 antibody is widely used as a marker for CD11c expression on the above mentioned cell types.
Alternate Names
CD11 antigen-like family member C; CD11C; complement component 3 receptor 4 subunit; integrin alpha X; Integrin alpha-X; integrin subunit alpha X; integrin, alpha X (antigen CD11C (p150), alpha polypeptide); integrin, alpha X (complement component 3 receptor 4 subunit); ITAX; ITGAX; Leu M5; leu M5, alpha subunit; Leukocyte adhesion glycoprotein p150,95 alpha chain; Leukocyte adhesion receptor p150,95; leukocyte surface antigen p150,95, alpha subunit; myeloid membrane antigen, alpha subunit; p150 95 integrin alpha chain; SLEB6

Specification

REACTIVITY: H
SENSITIVITY: Endogenous
Source/Isotype: Mouse IgG1
