In the small intestine, NaPi-2b localizes to the intestinal brush border membrane to mediate Pi reabsorption (2). In the lung, NaPi-2b is expressed in the apical membrane of type II alveolar cells and is involved in the synthesis of surfactant (3). Mutations in the corresponding gene causes pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis, a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by the deposition of calcium phosphate microliths throughout the lungs (4). Research studies show aberrant expression of NaPi-2b in various type of cancer, including ovarian, breast, and lung cancer (5). Chromosomal rearrangements involving are seen in gastric carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer and result in the formation of a SLC34A2-ROS1 chimeric protein that retains a constitutive kinase activity (6,7).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nFLJ90534; Na(+)-dependent phosphate cotransporter 2B; Na(+)\/Pi cotransporter 2B; NaPi-2b; NAPI-3B; NAPI-IIb; NaPi3b; NPT2B; NPTIIb; PULAM; SLC34A2; Sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 2B; Sodium-phosphate transport protein 2B; sodium-phosphate transporter; Sodium\/phosphate cotransporter 2B; solute carrier family 34 (sodium phosphate), member 2; solute carrier family 34 (type II sodium\/phosphate cotransporter), member 2; Solute carrier family 34 member 2; type II sodium-dependent phosphate transporter 3b\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nMW (kDa): 73, 90-130\nSource\/Isotype: Rabbit IgG","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46799495626921,"sku":"42299S","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-42299s","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
