Tryptase is secreted upon the coupled activation-degranulation response of mast cells in peripheral tissues to physical factors such as trauma, toxins, venoms, endogenous mediators, and immune mechanisms (IgE-dependent and IgE-independent) (2). Tryptase has distinct enzymatic functions that depend on the monomeric or homotetrameric state of this protein, the pH of the environment, and the presence or absence of heparin (3-5). Tryptase has the ability to cleave extracellular substrates such as vasoactive intestinal peptides (6), calcitonin gene-related peptides (7), fibronectins (8), fibrinogens (3), and kininogens (9). Tryptase is also a potent growth factor for epithelial cells, airway smooth muscle cells, and fibroblasts (10-13).\n\u003cb\u003eAlternate Names\u003c\/b\u003e\nepididymis secretory sperm binding protein; mast cell alpha II tryptase; mast cell beta I tryptase; TPS1; TPS2; TPSAB1; TPSB1; TPSB2; TRYA1; TRYB1; tryptase alpha II; Tryptase alpha-1; tryptase alpha\/beta 1; Tryptase alpha\/beta-1; tryptase beta 1; tryptase beta I; tryptase beta-1; Tryptase beta-2; tryptase I; Tryptase II; Tryptase-1; Tryptase-2; tryptase-I; tryptase-III\n\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\n\nREACTIVITY: H Mk\nSENSITIVITY: Endogenous\nSource\/Isotype: Mouse IgG2b kappa","brand":"CST","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46800285434025,"sku":"65164S","price":0.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/iright.com\/products\/cst-65164s","provider":"Iright","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
