CST7 is expressed as an inactive dimer and converted to a functionally active monomer localized to the endo-lysosomal compartment (3). CST7 has been implicated in various cancer types, including breast and cervical cancer, and is thought to play a role in modulating the tumor microenvironment (4,5).
