They are components of the asymmetric unit membrane (AUM), which forms the apical plaques of mammalian urothelium and is believed to play a role in strengthening the urothelial apical surface thus preventing the cells from rupturing during bladder distention (PMID: 8175808). Uroplakin-3b (UPK3B), also named as p35, is a single-pass type I membrane protein. This protein dimerizes with uroplakin-1b (UPK1B) to exit out of endoplasmic reticulum, which is is an important early step in urothelial plaque assembly (PMID: 12446744).
Specification
Tested Reactivity: human, mouse
Cited Reactivity: human, mouse
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Polyclonal
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Ag8326 Product name: Recombinant human UPK3B protein Source: e coli. -derived, PGEX-4T Tag: GST Domain: 1-320 aa of BC004304 Sequence: MGLPWGQPHLGLQMLLLALNCLRPSLSLGEWGSWMDASSQTQGAGGPAGVIGPWAPAPLRLGEAAPGTPTPVSVAHLLSPVATELVPYTPQITAWDLEGKVTATTFSLEQPRCVFDGLASASDTVWLVVAFSNASRGFQNPETLADIPASPQLLTDGHYMTLPLSPDQLPCGDPMAGSGGAPVLRVGHDHGCHQQPFCNAPLPGPGPYREDPRIHRHLARAAKWQHDRHYLHPLFSGRPPTLGLLGSLYHALLQPVVAGGGPGAAADRLLHGQALHDPPHPTQRGRHTAGGLQAWPGPPPQPQPLAWPLCMGLGEMGRRE Predict reactive species
Full Name: uroplakin 3B
Calculated Molecular Weight: 34 kDa
Observed Molecular Weight: 34 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: BC004304
Gene Symbol: UPK3B
Gene ID (NCBI): 80761
RRID: AB_2878170
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Antigen affinity purification
UNIPROT ID: Q9BT76
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
