It plays a crucial role in maintaining epithelial integrity and promoting wound repair in bronchial epithelial cells. CTNNAL1 has been shown to inhibit ozone-induced airway epithelial-mesenchymal transition and regulate mucus hypersecretion induced by house dust mite (HDM) (PMID: 38602002). Additionally, CTNNAL1 promotes the structural integrity of bronchial epithelial cells through the RhoA\/ROCK1 pathway (PMID: 36535402).
