N-cadherin (neural cadherin), also known as CDH2 (cadherin 2), is a 130-kDa transmembrane protein and a classical member of the cadherin superfamily which also includes E-, P-, R-, and B-cadherins. Expression of N-cadherin has been reported on various cell types including neurons, endothelial cells and cardiac myocytes (PMID: 11282032; 9508779; 8125202). N-cadherin has functions in early brain morphogenesis, synaptogenesis and synaptic plasticity (PMID: 23321619). The N-cadherin ectodomain can be cleaved, leading to the generation of a 90 kD N-terminal fragment (PMID: 16998833; 17028923).\n\u003cb\u003eSpecification\u003c\/b\u003e\nTested Reactivity: human\nCited Reactivity: human\nHost \/ Isotype: Rabbit \/ IgG\nClass: Recombinant\nType: Antibody\nImmunogen: CatNo: Eg0701 Product name: Recombinant Human N-Cadherin protein (His Tag) Source: mammalian cells -derived, pHZ-KIsec-C-6*HIS Tag: C-6*HIS Domain: 160-724 aa of NM_001792.4 Sequence: DWVIPPINLPENSRGPFPQELVRIRSDRDKNLSLRYSVTGPGADQPPTGIFIINPISGQLSVTKPLDREQIARFHLRAHAVDINGNQVENPIDIVINVIDMNDNRPEFLHQVWNGTVPEGSKPGTYVMTVTAIDADDPNALNGMLRYRIVSQAPSTPSPNMFTINNETGDIITVAAGLDREKVQQYTLIIQATDMEGNPTYGLSNTATAVITVTDVNDNPPEFTAMTFYGEVPENRVDIIVANLTVTDKDQPHTPAWNAVYRISGGDPTGRFAIQTDPNSNDGLVTVVKPIDFETNRMFVLTVAAENQVPLAKGIQHPPQSTATVSVTVIDVNENPYFAPNPKIIRQEEGLHAGTMLTTFTAQDPDRYMQQNIRYTKLSDPANWLKIDPVNGQITTIAVLDRESPNVKNNIYNATFLASDNGIPPMSGTGTLQIYLLDINDNAPQVLPQEAETCETPDPNSINITALDYDIDPNAGPFAFDLPLSPVTIKRNWTITRLNGDFAQLNLKIKFLEAGIYEVPIIITDSGNPPKSNISILRVKVCQCDSNGDCTDVDRIVGAGLGTGA Predict reactive species\nFull Name: cadherin 2, type 1, N-cadherin (neuronal)\nCalculated Molecular Weight: 100 kDa\nObserved Molecular Weight: 130 kDa\nGenBank Accession Number: NM_001792.4\nGene Symbol: N-cadherin\nGene ID (NCBI): 1000\nRRID: AB_3670715\nConjugate: Unconjugated\nForm: Liquid\nPurification Method: Protein A purification\nUNIPROT ID: P19022-1\nStorage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.\nStorage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
