Podocalyxin was originally identified as the major sialoprotein on podocytes of the kidney glomerulus but was later found to be expressed on vascular endothelial cells and early hematopoietic progenitors. It is involved in the regulation of both adhesion and cell morphology. In addition, podocalyxin is highly expressed in embryonic stem cells and aberrant expression of podocalyxin has been implicated in a wide range of cancers. Podocalyxin is a protein with a peptide bone of ∼55.5 kDa that undergoes a post‐translational glycosylation, the different molecular mass of podocalyxin indicates the extent and variability of glycosylation patterns (PMID: 17092254).
Specification
Tested Reactivity: mouse
Host / Isotype: Rabbit / IgG
Class: Recombinant
Type: Antibody
Immunogen: CatNo: Eg7526 Product name: Recombinant mouse Podocalyxin protein Source: mammalian cells -derived, V37 Tag: C-rFc Domain: 22-404 aa of NM_013723.3 Sequence: HNGNETSTSAIKSSTVQSHQSATTSTEVTTGHPVASTLASTQPSNPTPFTTSTQSPSMPTSTPNPTSNQSGGNLTSSVSEVDKTKTSSPSSTAFTSSSGQTASSGGKSGDSFTTAPTTTLGLINVSSQPTDLNTTSKLLSTPTTDNTTSPQQPVDSSPSTASHPVGQHTPAAVPSSSGSTPSTDNSTLTWKPTTHKPLGTSEATQPLTSQTPGITTLPVSTLQQSMASTVGTTTEEFTHLISNGTPVAPPGPSTPSPIWAFGNYQLNCEPPIRPDEELLILNLTRASLCERSPLDEKEKLVELLCHSVKASFKPAEDLCTLHVAPILDNQAVAVKRIIIETKLSPKAVYELLKDRWDDLTEAGVSDMKLGKEGPPEVNEDRFS Predict reactive species
Full Name: podocalyxin-like
Calculated Molecular Weight: 53 kDa
Observed Molecular Weight: 140-160 kDa
GenBank Accession Number: NM_013723.3
Gene Symbol: Podxl
Gene ID (NCBI): 27205
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Form: Liquid
Purification Method: Protein A purification
UNIPROT ID: Q9R0M4
Storage Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3.
Storage Conditions: Store at -20°C.
