MicroAmp™ Optical 8-Tube Strip, 0.2 mL is designed for PCR and real-time PCR workflows on compatible Applied Biosystems thermal cyclers and fluorescence-detection systems. Each strip contains eight high-grade polypropylene reaction tubes with a 0.2 mL working volume and a nominal 0.25 mL tube capacity. The optical tube design supports fluorescence transmission during real-time measurements, and precise instrument fit helps achieve good contact with the thermal block and reproducible temperature cycling. The product is supplied as 125 eight-tube strips, equivalent to 1,000 reaction tubes. Tube caps are not included and must be selected separately, and the instrument-specific tray or retainer tray is required where applicable. The strips are certified DNA/RNase-free and intended for standard-speed reaction workflows. This consumable is appropriate when experiments call for groups of eight reactions rather than a complete 96-well plate, while retaining the relevant instrument-specific optical and thermal performance.
