Answer:Each tube has a 1.5 mL capacity; the bulk product contains 2500 tubes.
Answer:Their surfaces reduce protein adsorption and sample loss during repeated transfers, immunoprecipitation and sample preparation.
Answer:The tubes are rated up to 20,000 × g when used under the appropriate instrument conditions.
Thermo Scientific Pierce Low Protein Binding Microcentrifuge Tubes are polypropylene sample containers engineered to minimize protein adsorption during laboratory preparation and transfer. Each tube holds 1.5 mL, and the bulk configuration contains 2500 tubes arranged in convenient smaller packs to reduce repeated exposure of unused supplies. Low-binding tube surfaces help limit sample loss when protein concentration is low, making the product useful for immunoprecipitation, protein extraction and proteomics sample handling. These tubes are certified free of RNase and DNase, supporting workflows in which nucleic acid contamination is also a concern. Their centrifugal rating reaches 20,000 × g under appropriate operating conditions. The tube is a sample container rather than a protein concentrator or ultrafiltration device; it cannot remove salts or enrich analytes on its own. Centrifuge rotor compatibility, cap closure and temperature exposure should be reviewed for each protocol. Consistent tube choice can improve sample recovery across multi-step preparation.
